Me:  Babers I need to make a video for my readers on Friday; I’m announcing the winner of the Noonday Feather Fringe Earrings! Hubby:  Yeah…Babes about that….. I can’t find iLife. Me:  Wait? What?  Why do I need iLife? Hubby:  Because you’ll need to edit your video in iMovie. Me:  Can’t we get all Blair Witch and just iPhone it up? Hubby: Not if you want to give your viewers motion sickness and an unnatural fear of accessories…or the woods?... Read more

Hey Lovlies, My weekend was crazy!  It was non-stop traveling, visiting, and meetings.  I barely had time to laundry for school today.  After I sent the kiddos off and got dressed for the day, I had a thought, ‘Why not give my readers a few more days to enter?  If their weekend was anything like mine, I’m sure they didn’t have a chance to read my Noonday post.”  So, take the week, loves!  Enter by visiting my Noonday site and... Read more

There have been small changes on the blog here, dear readers. I’m sure some of you have noticed the new buttons in the sidebar and the updated picture taken by the super talented Rebecca Gutwin. If you follow me on Instagram or Facebook, maybe you’ve noticed these pictures. One observant friend PM’d me wondering if I was about to announce something big on the blog. Not wanting to give anything away yet, I just shrugged and wrote back, ‘Maybe”.... Read more

Today begins a new school year.  I’m always so conflicted on the first day of school. On one hand, I’m completely elated, I mean seriously, summer was long and my patience grew thin.  On the other, I’m sad that my babies are off in the world again.  For six plus hours someone is guiding and loving and influencing them.  I’m happy for it and I’m deeply convinced they need to be in the world but not a part of the... Read more

The timid prayer warrior wore socks with sandals and disclaimed her odd vision of birds while praying for the Sunday service.  ‘There’s someone here who feels like a bird with a broken wing. God wants you to know that he sees you. He’s mindful of the birds.” And I, a lonely visitor, cried hard and quiet in the audience; I was that bird. I felt like we were flying towards a bright horizon and now, we’re grounded. Shot down by... Read more

I have a confession to make: all of my favorite bloggers are taking the summer off for fantastic reasons, but I’m not and I feel all types of guilty over it. You should read some of these “I’m breaking from blogging to create space and enjoy life” posts. I mean chocked full of wisdom and maturity are they, and here’s little old slightly nutty me embarking on forty days of blogging with a few of my Story Sessions sisters. I’m... Read more

Today I’m linking up with Lisa-Jo Baker’s Five Minute Friday, a community I love where we write from our hearts for five minutes on one word.  Today’s link up is a little poem about our church plant and a major transition my husband and I are going through. We’ve decided that planting a church in the urban core is very hard unless we live in the community and right now we live in Cambridge, a city across the river and a... Read more

Last week my husband interviewed me for his podcast, “TheoGraff”, “A Jesus-Centered, Hip-hop flavored, geeky  theological kingdom exploration” :).  Isn’t my hubby ridiculously quirky.  I love it!  I’m so stinking proud of him!  Starting a podcast has been a dream of his for a while and what better way to show my support for my love than to be his first interviewee?  And even though I’m all about Jesus, love me some hip hop, am slightly geeky, and down for... Read more
