The Good News

Read the newspaper, listen to the radio–what is going on in your city that the church needs to speak to? Talk with other Christians in your area and begin to talk about creative ways you can respond and bring the good news of Christ to the sad news of the world. Is it the good news that we no longer have to worry about property values when a homeless service center wants to come near our neighborhood because we live in God’s economy? Is it the need for Christians to gather and pray in places of violence, witnessing to the cross of Christ who showed us that even violence and murder cannot defeat love? Pray through the news, ask God where the gospel needs to be preached in your city, and begin to work toward spreading the good news that love wins.
