Evangelization as Generosity

Americans, trained by charlatan prosperity-gospel televangelists, have a very particular image of “Evangelization” in their  heads. And that image is selfish. Evangelization is all about taking.

This is not the evangelism of Pope Francis. Pope Francis sees evangelization as just another work of mercy within the Church. There is no selfishness in it. Evangelization, just like feeding and housing, is in fact generous.
