Robots Teach Us What to Want: Blade Runner 2049

Robots Teach Us What to Want: Blade Runner 2049 November 3, 2017

First, make sure to watch this gorgeous movie before it leaves theaters. It’s going fast.

Second, my nerd friends are always talking about how the original “Blade Runner” movie is such an amazing inquiry into what it means to be human. I thought they were out of their minds for a long time. Isn’t it just about robots shooting each other? Why must we ponder it’s depth? Only now, looking at the sequel, do I understand what they were talking about. “Blade Runner 2049” is a perfect example of how sci-fi is suited to ask questions about our humanity.

Look at the robots intently. They will teach you the difference between them and us. Work day and night to extend the difference.
