Florida pastor forced to flee naked from his lover's home

Florida pastor forced to flee naked from his lover's home January 30, 2017

The Rev O Jermaine Simmons Sr, 37, pastor of the popular Jacob Chapel Baptist Church in Tallahassee, Florida, is quite a natty dresser, as the photo above shows.
But when he was caught bonking one of his parishioners, Claynisha Stephens, 34, he was forced to flee her home butt-naked.
The Christian Post reports that Simmons was “sent running for his life” when Stephens’ gun-toting husband, Benjamin Stephens III, caught them at it.
Claynisha Stephens told police that the the pastor had come to her home to discuss:

Starting a business, patents and trademarks, and providing less fortunate kids with clothes and shoes.

Then they began having sex.
Things went horribly wrong when Benjamin Stephens came home unexpectedly. He’d been called by his six-year-old son’s school and told that his wife had not collected the boy, and was not answering her phone.
On discovering his wife engaged with Simmons in their oldest daughter’s bedroom, Benjamin reportedly screamed “I’m gonna kill him”,  and went to the couple’s bedroom to get a small handgun.

According to this thread, a photo of Claynisha Stephens was found on the pastor’s Twitter account
That’s when Simmons legged it. The enraged husband attempted to chase after the pastor but his wife stepped in front of him and begged him not to kill her lover in front of their son.
She told police that her husband decided against shooting her because her son was present. She explained that she tried to gather the pastor’s clothes to return them to him but her husband took the clothes and said he would drop them off at the church.
Claynisha said her husband stated that he “should have shot Simmons and exposed him”. He also threatened to expose him on Facebook and show up at church on Sunday to “make a statement.” She said she pleaded with her husband not to make a statement to the church because it would make their pastor “look bad.”
Her husband allegedly told her to “shut up” while still waving the handgun around but not directly at her.
The frightened pastor had one of his other parishioners pick him up from where he was hiding and indicated that, along with all his clothes, Claynisha’s husband had taken his car keys, wallet, business keys and other personal effects.
Police were eventually able to arrange for the return of the pastor’s belongings.
Claynisha, who has been married for seven years, told police that she first met Simmons in 2014, but they began “establishing a relationship” in October 2016.
The Christian Post reached out to Jacob Chapel on Monday and was told that Simmons remained the pastor of the church. When asked if any action had been taken against him regarding the incident, an official who did not identify herself declined to comment.
A former parishioner, who wished to remain anonymous, told CP that Simmons and his church had done a lot of good in the community prior to the incident.
Pastor Simmons is the author of a book entitled I Need A Man. According to the book’s blurb:

I Need a Man offers a fresh perspective on the issues of godly manhood and mentoring. Using the Holy Scriptures as a foundation, you will discover why every man needs a godly man in his life and how each man can reach back and become a mentor himself. Indeed, God can use the struggles of one man to strengthen another.

And it says of the author:

Aside from being a Pastor, community leader, and dedicated Kingdom worker, Rev O Jermaine Simmons, Sr is the proud husband of Mrs Elise A Simmons, and father of one son, Orinthius Jermaine Simmons, Jr. In lieu of the many accomplishments and awards that Pastor Simmons has received through the years, it will always be undergirded by his love for the Lord and for his family.
