BETWEEN May 19 and 23, four ‘spiritual’ Nordic workshops are due to be jointly held by an an American ‘celebity’ shaman Durek Verret and the love of his life, Princess Märtha Louise of Norway, above.

The events are keenly anticipated by people who believe in divine healing, angels, and other such tosh, and according to this report, the workshops – called “The Princess and the Shaman” are expected to rake in more than $100,000.

The workshops promise:

A journey to the mysteries of life, how to get into deeper contact with your inner power and raise awareness so that you bring out the true you no matter where you are in life.

But not everyone is happy about the pending performances. One Icelandic organisation calls them “fantastic bullshit”.

When Verret came to Iceland earlier this year, Vantrú, the Icelandic society of skeptics, bluntly accused him of being a charlatan. They said that advertisements for his visit claimed that he could “heal” and “cure” cancer with transcendental “spirits” .

So we naturally criticized his supernatural claims, warned people of not falling for this hoax and called him a ‘con man’ and a ‘dirtbag’ because he preys upon sick and desperate people with promises of aid and assistance in exchange for a specific sum of currency.

Durek Verrett calls himself a shaman, which is supposed to be a person who holds the supernatural abilities of invoking, communicating and controlling spirits of dead animals or other otherworldly entities, which are located in a spirit world.

It is basically supposed to be real magic. Also known as fantastic bullshit. But Verrett sticks to his claims and insists that he is not at all a charlatan.

The princess also claims to have special powers for healing, even talking with the dead. She is co-founder of controversial “angel school” that claims to help people get in touch with their own “angels”.

Their planned event in Stavanger St Petri Church in Norway sparked criticism, with people saying that it shouldn’t be hosting something that promotes beliefs in the supernatural.

And here was silly me thinking that that’s precisely why churches were invented.

Anyway, Princess Martha Louise opened up about her love for her “twin flame” Durek on Instagram on May 13, 2019. And she and hit back at those:

Who feel the need to criticize. When you meet your twin flame, you know. I have been lucky enough to have met mine. @shamandurek has changed my life, like he does with so many. He has made me realize that unconditional love actually exists here on this planet. He embraces all of me without question or fear. He makes me laugh more than anyone, has the most profound wisdom to share and all the bits in between from the diversity of his being.

Durek sweetly came back on Facebook with a message that contained the words:

This is what I feel from @princessmarthalouise, pure acceptance of my multidimensional self. Not just the Shaman, however the woman in me, the strong man in me, the little boy, ET, the jaguar, the scientist and the angel and more. All loved by this Goddess, who I honor and worship. Where I can cry in her arms when I’m sad or hurt and laugh about life and its many complexities. A strong woman who lets me be me without judgement or confinement. I’m free when I’m with her, free to be me and love a women (sic)  who is a bright light of wisdom and profound grace and immense beauty.

Will someone please pass me a sick bag?
