On deck for 2024 we have a lot of exciting things lined up for you! We pray that we are able to walk alongside you!
First Semester
For the First Half of the Year, here are the topics that we have on deck:
- A Look a Biblical Reliability: We’ll dive into Biblical Transmission for both the Old and New Testament, Archeology, and what the Church Fathers have to say.
- The Season of Lent: We’ll Dive into how to treat the season of Lent in a practical way.
- The Resurrection: “Did Jesus Rise from the Dead?” Is the most important question revolving Around the Christian Faith? If Jesus didn’t rise from the dead then we should be pitied. Thus says the Apostle Paul. We’ll take a look at the different theories revolving around why the tomb was and still is empty along with evidence for the resurrection of Jesus of Nazareth.
- Christian Impact: We’ll take a look at how Christianity has impacted the world in a positive way from the dawn of the University System, to the advent of the field of Archeology, all the way to the idea of inherent Human Rights.
- Catholic Stuff: Mariology, Purgatory, Sacraments, etc.
- Youth Ministry: We’ll take a look at the role of Youth Ministry in the life of the Church, the Reason for Youth Ministry, and how Youth Ministers should push forward in the years to come.
Second Semester
For the Second Half of the Year, Here are the topics that we have on deck:
- Christian Nationalism: It’s a Buzz phrase. But what is it? And is it Biblical?
- Church Membership: Is Church Membership a biblical concept? Should Church membership be practiced in the Church today?
- Arguments for God’s Existence: We’ll dive into the Cosmological, Teleological, Moral, and Ontological Arguments for God’s Existence.
- The Reformation: We’ll take a look at the main events leading up to the Reformation including the Avignon Papacy, the Indulgence System, the Translation of the Bible, and the posting of the 95 Theses
- Ecclesiastes: We’ll reflect on one of the greatest pieces of wisdom literature to come out of the Ancient Near East.
- Christian Myths: We’ll look at Common myths around the Christian faith that critics will bring up every Christmas
- Reflection: We’ll take time to reflect on the Year of 2024 and what’s to come in 2025.
