From Surveillance to Harassment: My Unexpected Journey
When I relocated from NYC, I knew life in another state would be different, challenging even, but I never anticipated the terrain set before me would be littered with evil. As a city girl, I was used to all eyes on me given the nature of a metropolis: oogling construction workers, matching energies while tunneling an underground subway system, conducting a light conversation in a grocery store sparked by one of my quirky outfits, or simply cat-walking the gray paved runway. C’mon, it was New York City. However, I’m not sure anything could have prepared me for this unwarranted sightseeing!
In 2011, after sustaining an injury, I began being followed during a workers compensation case. From the grocery store to the park, a series of vehicles could be found, daily, perched near my destination. Due to my superlative driving skills, and evading many of my followers, the surveillance quickly morphed into harassment as individuals entering my residential complex did so on private property to monitor my activity. Not to mention, unkept homes of neighbors in close proximity underwent overnight transformations. You name it, they received it: tree trims, new siding, paint jobs, roof repair, and oversized packages… and it wasn’t Christmas.
Sadly, my neighbors afforded cameramen, and personnel toting monitoring devices, parking in their carports to film me from my neighbors’ homes. I even caught the gate guard with a literal wad of money stacked on his tiny desk after addressing the influx of cars parked by my neighbors home. Cars, at least ten, that followed me earlier in the day. I witnessed all ten cars roll past my window as the lead car’s driver signal them in. They were attempting to intimidate me by their numbers. They even began recruiting other residents from the complex. On a separate occasion, I surprised a woman jumping from a neighbor’s bush with a 35 mm camera as I pretended to pull weeds from the back of my house. Instead of chasing her, I let her flurry away from the scene. She knew filming me on private property was illegal. Off-site, at a community college, I walked in on a conversation between a workers comp agent and a campus police officer when attempting to place a complaint concerning an arbitrary students filming me in class. Irony? I sincerely doubt it.
The Network of Wickedness: When Neighbors Turn Into Spies
Becoming fully aware of the network forming in my very own backyard, I trusted no one. A woman working where I was injured implored me to tutor her daughter while I received workers compensation. When I expressed that I’d help at no cost to her, she insisted on paying me, but I refused. Needless to say, the mentorship never materialized. The audacity of people’s stupidity. It didn’t end there. I began being targeted in the spirit realm as well. Nearby neighbors along with their friends, and retired agency officials, began harassing me by utilizing satanic alternatives. Folks were annoyed that God allowed me to elude their daily programs in the natural, so they enlisted Satan. They entered my home when I wasn’t there and late at night while I slept. They destroyed furniture, flooring, stole items (pictures, underwear, etc) cut holes into my clothing, placed candle wax in my food, tried to sick animals on me, placed dead animals in corners of my property, appeared in my dreams, and astral projected where I had to physically fight them. The list is exhaustive. After warring endlessly on my own, I was forced to move.
I endured a great deal but learned a wealth of information as well. Can’t say I’m grateful for the suffering, but I am now standing on a goldmine of growth, spiritually. While I have forgiven all those involved, I’ll be quite honest, if the homes of those who tortured me went up in flames, I would feel as if the wicked were rewarded, and I was vindicated.
I’m sure many of you are gasping… possibly asking, “If you’ve forgiven these people, how can you make that statement?” Easily. Jesus forgave those who crucified Him. Yet, He will be the same one to meet them on Judgment Day for their reward. Can’t be upset that God said in His word, that I will see the reward of the wicked… with my own eyes. Desiring justice isn’t sinful. Plus, you haven’t lived a day in my shoes.
The Evil Lurking in Gangland: When Communities Turn Against You
The city I was harassed in has always been a gangland. Therefore, it is not uncommon for folks to collectively mob others without an official reason. Many times, people are merely driven by hate, envy, or inadequacy. Having interviewed a number of OG’s, and those still in the game, they feel entitled to other people’s belongings and feel they shouldn’t be questioned when they rob, steal and kill.
Initially, gangs in this area formed to help communities fight police brutality. Somewhere down the line wires crossed and gang members bought into newer agendas. Now, gangs have metamorphosed into pure evil. Bloodshed occurs within and across cultures, blocks, and colors. This network mentality has spilled over into workplaces and spiritual communities. The very people you work with can gather to take you out like covens of secret societies. This ideology exists in churches as well. Factions of believers within one household of faith, purposefully, split churches. If you don’t agree with the makeshift hierarchy, you can oftentimes face dismissal from a position or be ousted from your place of worship and deemed a heretic. There are also members of the church using communal witchcraft to harm God’s people. If you don’t know what’s at work, and God is not covering your life, one can easily slip away.
I remember attending a few different churches. Each time I entered the sanctuary, an unidentified man hinged himself to me in in hopes of sitting with me… attempting to create a satanic soul tie and keep me from being delivered from evil attacks in the spirit realm. Even after alerting ushers IN SEVERAL SPACES OF WORSHIP nothing was done. There were times when more than one man was present to try and pick up the other man’s slack during a failed attempt. I was left with trying to embarrass these men to avoid from having them sit near me, but they would simply sit in the pew behind me. In some cases, I removed myself from the scenario to see if the person would follow. In some instances they did. When they became a bit more savvy, they would send a different person.
Spiritual Lessons Learned Through Suffering

Once the harassment emerged as spiritual, I felt quite alone as NO ministers would lay hands on me when I went up for prayer. This happened across several churches. There were times ministers prayed with everyone else around me, but not me. These were big-name preachers, too! For years, I settled for worshipping online to avoid the weird men, and the evil networks in general, as witches were employed to tail me as well. The weaker the church, the easier the infiltration. The only place they would not follow me was to the altar for prayer.
What was most frustrating was the lack of discernment displayed by the ministries I attended. Perhaps, they knew what was transpiring and didn’t want to be bothered? In some cases, I’m sure they were ill equip to fight against this level of evil. As I grew frustrated of witches walking into services and sitting near me, I’d seek reprieve at the altar. One time, in particular, a witch tried to re-seat herself near me when I transferred to a new pew. When I left her behind to head towards the altar call, she left the auditorium.
Alone in my journey, I was forced to figure things out singularly. I began searching for ministers well versed in spiritual attacks, ordering their books, or books on subject matter I personally encountered. Also, I recognized the importance of times and seasons. Therefore, praying at specified times was crucial. Here are seven key elements I used to approach my own spiritual warfare:
- Fight! Fighting in the spirit realm wasn’t an option, it is the only way to win. If you don’t fight, the evil ones continue their wicked tirade… ultimately winning if you throw in the towel! Get tired, but don’t give in. Make yourself aware of the devices your enemy employs. Fight back using prayer, scriptures and non-carnal remedies. Scriptures: Be not weary in well doing, for in due season, you shall win if you faint not! (Galations 6:9 KJV) Be ye also ready… so you don’t have to get ready! (Matthew 24:44 KJV)
- Locate support. Find a support system, even if it is online. Compared to when I was under severe duress, there are far more ministries availed to the fight of witchcraft now. Be sure to consult God before latching onto any minister or ministry. Not everyone has the same God in mind. Once you have done your due diligence, allow folks to pray with you over-the-phone. If you do not own a cell phone, get a Google Voice number. If you are reading this blog, there is still a way out. Hallelujah! I actually discovered a church by way of an eatery I would linger in during inclement weather. One of the employees began talking with me about her church. At her recommendation, I went, and was greeted by the Spirit of God. I even began deliverance sessions there. Scriptures: Call on the church elders! James 5:14-16 KJV
- Pray. The same way witches use their mouths to curse. We must use our words to win! Block, reject, and return those curses/spells back-to-sender. Yes. Forgive your enemies, but just like a boxing match… yawl ain’t friends in the ring,! Also, be sure to counteract witchcraft activity by commanding the morning in the wee-hours of the day. Scriptures: Pray without ceasing. 1 Thessalonians 5:17, Command ye the morning! Job 38: 11-13
- Insulate your spirit. Cover yourself and belongings in the Blood of Jesus Christ. Confess your sins, known and inadvertent. Surround yourself with God’s grace, favor and mercy! Let His Spirit guard you. Refrain from evil. The enemy will try to come in through any opening in your life. Be sure to close any open windows, doors, or cracks! Scripture: Do not give the devil room! Ephesians 4:27 KJV
- Call the troops! Re-enforce ministering angels, throne angels, and arch angels to assist you in battle. Ask God to arise and scatter your enemies! Scripture: God gives His angels charge over us! Psalms 91:11
- Fast. Even if you don’t eat much, find one day a week to give God. Get lost in His word. Pray. All of these things will create clarity and give you direction. It also opens the gateway for angels to fight on your behalf. You will find many of the attacks will fall right off. God will expose those who are trying to harm you in any way shape or form. Sometimes, fasting will bring you to the very answers for which you asked God. There are times when He may be silent, and/or He wants you to dig and find your own answers. Fasting creates the right atmosphere to receive God’s words, and many times when studying the Word during a fast, you locate the very answer you seek. Scripture: Fast and watch God answer your needs, Ezra 8:23 KJV
- Keep moving forward. Find strength. Dig deep to move forward in something God has called you to do. Even if it is speaking a word into someone. Don’t take it lightly. I remember bartending, that’s right, and witnessing /literally praying for people right at the bar. People can say what they want about me, but I’m not gonna stop being God’s witness! Anywhere. Anyhow! Scripture: Preach God’s Word no matter where you go! Mark 16:15 KJV
