Why Diversity in the Conservative Cabinet Is a Bad Thing

Why Diversity in the Conservative Cabinet Is a Bad Thing August 2, 2019

This is an absolutely fascinating call into James O’Brien on LBC. Listen to it:

The opportunism or downright Machiavellian plans of the Johnson administration to create one of the or even the single most diverse cabinets ever can be seen in an alternative light. When you have people of colour enacting policies that most adversely affect people of colour, you can achieve all sorts of bad.

Just look at Ben Carson. (There is much to be said for his appointment in allowing egregious decisions to be made in housing that will dramatically affect black people.)

If people of colour enact racist policies, then those policies can’t be racist, right?

This caller has a whole host of interesting points.
