The political compass is always worth doing to see where you fit on a more pluralistic spectrum other than a simple left/right continuum. It works between left and right, authoritarian and libertarian.
I think it’s genuinely quite accurate with its appraisal. I do get annoyed at answering questions simplistically where, as a philosopher, I really want to say “But… but…” or “This, but with a whole bunch of caveats” or “Neither option, but one in between that you haven’t given me”. There is an agree/disagree to differing amounts, but not a neither agree or disagree choice.
I’d probably concede that I am slightly more authoritarian than that and would have liked some questions to better reflect that.
Anyway, I would be fascinated to see where y’all end up.
