Did I read that right? Did Bill Barr, the (flack)Attorney General of the United States say today that there is no credible evidence of massive election fraud? Did he actually say that, and contradict his sponsor? In the past, Barr has repeatedly said that there is evidence of widespread fraud in the election, and now he acknowledges that it ain’t true. This is unprecedented! He has never before deviated from whatever his boss told him to say! Is it possible that even Trump’s most loyal followers are finally finding that they cannot support his lies? While Trump files more challenges, his own AG says fugittaboutit!
Heavens! What is the world coming to?
An article in the LA Times today spelled out the confrontation between Barr and his boss:
Specifically, with regard to the claim by Sidney Powell, the nutcase who claimed that Democrats had conspired to steal the election, Barr said:
There’s been one assertion that would be systemic fraud and that would be the claim that machines were programmed essentially to skew the election results. And the DHS and DOJ have looked into that, and so far, we haven’t seen anything to substantiate that.
So what happens next? My guess is that Trump will blast Barr via Twitter…and then maybe fire him. That would be sweet. Barr is the worst AG this country has had in at least a hundred years, probably more. Never before has an AG intruded the Justice Department into the conduct of elections…which is the exclusive responsibility, according to the Constitution, of the states.
Trump, Barr, and the rest of his gang of incompetent and corrupt appointees need to be purged from our government. I will single out Betsy DeVos, as one of the most destructive officials to ever have a position in our government. Begone, Betsy! And don’t let the door hit you in the buttocks as you flee. But there are many more who need to be kicked in the a$$ and ejected from any government role. Begone, all of you!
Let’s return to sanity and competence. Joe Biden is trying to do that, and some of his supporters are not happy, because he seeks reconciliation, not confrontation. We will see if that works out in the long run. Republicans in Congress do not want compromise and accord. They have made it very clear that they intend to block everything that his administration proposes in every possible way, including even his Cabinet choices. He has four years to craft the future of our nation. If his administration is successful, we can all breathe a sigh of relief. What Republicans hope to do is to create government gridlock, so that Trump can return in 2024, promising to save us from the disaster that his people have created.
I wish Biden well. I sure as Hell trust him more that his predecessor, even if I disagree with him at times…as I did with Obama.
But the bottom line is…do you trust this person to have the best interests of all of us in his heart? I KNEW that the orange-faced orangutan did not. With Biden, I am hopeful.
