Carrier’s Anti-Kalam Book Endorsement!

Carrier’s Anti-Kalam Book Endorsement! June 2, 2021

Apologies for my absence – half term, and kids, and all that.

Dr Richard Carrier was very generous indeed with his time and effort on my recent book The Resurrection: A Critical Examination of the Easter Story [UK]. I was very much indebted to him for his extensive blog entry on the piece. Within that article was the following quote, concerning my book on the Kalam (Did God Create the Universe from Nothing? Countering William Lane Craig’s Kalam Cosmological Argument [UK]):

…his book on the Kalam Cosmological Argument, for example, is among the best and most complete you’ll ever find…

I recently wrote a piece asking for reviews of my books from people who have read them to balance the skew that Christian readers who have “reviewed” the books give to the small number of reviews my books get. Christian “reviews” I get for titles like this show that the reviewer either has not read the book or has, and has no real substantive evidence for their 1-star reviews. I exemplified this with my book on the kalam. Perhaps Carrier read my piece, or perhaps he just reviewed it anyway. Either way, I am again indebted to him for this cracking 5-star review:

Richard C. Carrier
