I ran across this YouTube video just yesterday.

It’s just a bit difficult to hear in spots, even as the words appear on the screen.

But oh, the voices!

Yes, the voices are those of St. John Paul II and Blessed Mother Theresa, together, as they take turns praying, in English, one of the mysteries of the Rosary.

It is, at once, both haunting yet peaceful, earthly yet other-worldly.

I haven’t yet been able to track down the when and the where of this recording.

But I can only begin to imagine what it must have been like to have been a part of that audience. An audience that may have reached a bit closer to the heavens above than perhaps any other.

The video runs 37 minutes.

Just below, I’ve also posted a 6 minute version.

If you haven’t yet made a concerted effort to understand this unique contemplation – one which Padre Pio has described as a weapon for these times, and through which many have deepened their faith as a result of what have been called its 15 promises – this might be a good starting point.

Peace
