Zimbabwe in need of prayers

Zimbabwe in need of prayers July 15, 2007

“The political and economic crises in Zimbabwe are worsening at an alarming rate…Unemployment is over 85 per cent, poverty over 90 per cent, and foreign reserves are almost depleted. Over four million persons are in desperate need of food. HIV/AIDS and malnutrition kill thousands every month .”… read more.

In the comfort of our own homes, it is easy to forget the poverty in other places, not to mention other various dire conditions. As we speak, there is a serious emergency in Zimbabwe. My heart goes out to all the refugees, all the hungry… and especially to all the children who don’t understand what is happening.

From our homes here across the world, let us at least pray. Please pray for all the people in need, political leaders and for the revival of this beautiful Country’s welfare!

Let us not forget the power of prayer.

James 5: Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective.

Hebrews 4: Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.

Phil. 4:
Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, present your requests to God.
