Happy Ramadan to the Muslim Community

Happy Ramadan to the Muslim Community August 22, 2009

Today begins the month-long observance of Ramadan in most of the Muslim world.

During the month of Ramadan, Muslims traditionally fast from sunrise to sunset.  They are expected to abstain from eating, drinking, smoking and sexual relations from dawn until sunset.

In the spirit of recent ecclesial statements,  let us extend our good will and ask that God may find pleasing their (your) fasting and sacrifice.
