Before we get too far here, I would like to see some consensus on an agenda. At least part of the consensus one would think would be for the end of abortion. As part of that effort, perhaps it is time to accept as allies those that state they are for ending abortion. This would seem to be good practice before people attempt to make converts in the pro-choice community. This ain’t the Miss America pageant. There are no points for style and effort. Actions do have consequences. As someone supposedly coming from the left, let me state up front that I don’t think the right’s motives are clear or at times even lucid. I tend to think that abortion is what every other issue on the right seems to be about: addressing the problems of them and not us. Quite frankly, the eagerness to continue bashing Douglas Kmiec isn’t exactly dissuading me from my prejudices.
