Yes you read it right, day 21 of 30 straight days of Moksha Yoga, found me ending my night with YIN.  It is a slow, mindful practice that works into your deep tissue.  Woke up at 4:30 am today for a 6 am class, and was inspired to end my night in the Moksha practice of YIN.  I am glad I did. My day was swamped with lots of activities, which is good, but sometimes when I am swamped with... Read more

Well here I am, day 20 of 30 straight days of hot yoga at Moksha Yoga Los Angeles, and as I laid on my mat before class, I brought my attention to different parts of my body. To my feet, my legs, my abs, my shoulders, my head, and I noticed by simply bringing awareness to my feet for example,  without changing them, they relaxed.   Suddenly my body temple was grounded on the mat, eyes closed, and everything was relaxed. ... Read more

So I came into day  19 of 30 straight days of hot yoga at Moksha. Walking in I felt exhausted, tired, and laid down on my mat. Each day that I lay on my mat, it feels like a womb, safe, secure, and a place to be who I am. Without any rules from others, judgments, or needing to get others approval.  It is a place to embrace every aspect of who I am.  Frankly I can let it be. ... Read more

Day 18 of 30 straight days of hot yoga at Moksha Yoga Los Angeles. Laying on my yoga mat with my eyes closed,  I was reminded of the day I went sky diving. As the plane climbed higher and higher in the air, my fear did too.  I was strapped to the instructor, for a tandem jump, and so I was going to jump.  So much fear, and these thoughts racing in my head, and I sat at the edge... Read more

I appreciate everyone following this journey, and your wonderful support. I am on day 17th of 30 straight days of hot yoga at Moksha Yoga Los Angeles and if you are just joining me, welcome.  Today on my way to the studio, and when I laid down on the mat, I contemplated the intention for today, but all that came up, was “now”. So rather than fight, or figure out the meaning of this, a question followed, “It’s happening?” wait... Read more

I walked to Moksha studio this morning, ready and willing, as I approached day 16 of 30 straight days of hot yoga.  As I lay on my mat, I connected to the breath, my body on the mat, and the space inside of me.  For the first time I moved from the back of the room to the front, resting there, feeling the breath move through the body. In the silence of the room, our teacher entered, ‘Lets look at... Read more

Wait for it! Day 15 of 30 straight days of hot yoga at Moksha LA, Wow very fast indeed. Half way home. Today I laid on my mat and had a tough time concentrating, so I figured the rest of my practice would be that way.  So I laid there with my eyes closed and watched the mind, wanting to pull my focus away, from where I was, and frankly it was winning.  So the mind talked and I began... Read more

Later today I will be entering my 15th day of 30 straight days of hot yoga at a wonderful studio and community in Los Angeles called Moksha Yoga. I was talking to my daughter’s teacher about this challenge and some of my insights and she was very encouraging, she said, “Good for you!”  I was listening to a teacher the other day giving a talk on relationships, and the importance of positive encouragement.  For example, men love to hear from... Read more

So I came into day 14 of 30 straight days of hot yoga at Moksha Yoga and laid on my mat, closed my eyes before practice, and as I laid there I noticed something. Here I am laying down and breathing, simple, right? Yet what changes when I get on my feet in a pose and start moving? Yes the room is hot, yes there are people everywhere, yes the poses flow, but what is changing this peace of mind... Read more
