*sigh*  Jon Stewart, thank you for being such a reliable voice in news.

In this context “we want to work with the President” is undoubtedly a set up to say the President is responsible for governmental inertia when he vetoes bills (including the ACA repeal that’s forthcoming).  And the same people who cheered the GOP for shutting down the government and forcing the government into gridlock the last six years and voted for them will now, all of a sudden, hate governmental gridlock.
