Marco Rubio is banking on a big win in his home state of Florida. Unfortunately (for Rubio), polls have Trump beating him by anywhere from 10 points all the way up to a 2-1 margin. So Rubio decided to hold a rally in Hialeah to get his voter base energized. Unfortunately (for Rubio), not many people showed up:
Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) gave a rally in what he hoped would be friendly territory and not many people came, Talking Points Memo reported.
The “disappointing” crowd for Rubio’s event in Hialeah, Florida was captured on a CNN broadcast, with the news network showing the nearly empty stadium in which it unfolded.
But how can that be? Rubio’s press secretary tweeted out this picture of the rally:
