MORNING HAPPINESS: Brilliant camouflage. September 8, 2016

Good morning, everybody!

Oh man, I am so pumped to be back doing voice lessons. It turns out I’ll actually have 27 students this semester, and yesterday I got to work with five new ones. One in particular displayed a good work ethic, solid focus, and has a naturally resonant voice. And she’s a junior, so I get her for two years.

And that’s on top of all the top tier returning talent I have in my studio. This is really fulfilling work.

It sucks though. I don’t bring my religion or politics into my voice studio — that time is all about the music. But because I’ve erected that barrier, even with parental and student permission I’m usually very reluctant to post any clips of my students to this blog. Their lessons (and successes) are a part of my life, which I love to share here, but I don’t want to drag them into my activist work.

But I do wish I could share their talent with all of you.
