Matthew 24 is typically cited, because Jesus speaks of the end having an increase in wards, food shortages, diseases and earthquakes. They also point to 2 Timothy 3:1-5 which characterizes the end as a time where people are more selfish, have a lack of self-control, and are turning away from religion.
