In the Light of Haiti

People around the world, Christians as well as people of all faiths, are striving to understand the extraordinary suffering unfolding on the island of Haiti.  The following video was recorded well before the tragic events in Port-au-Prince, but it reflects on the implications of the gospel for the poor, and on the enduring need for Christian compassion.

Tim Keller is founding pastor of the influential Redeemer Presbyterian Church (PCA) in New York City.  He is a prominent speaker and author, and his recent book, The Reason for God: Belief in an Age of Skepticism (2008) received awards from World Magazine and Christianity Today, and rose to #7 among non-fiction works in the New York Times Best Seller List.
