While American Muslims recognize ongoing Islamophobia and fear related to global acts of terrorism committed by Muslims, they are also finding new hope as they strengthen communities, make friends across religious boundaries, and find new ways to engage in political and social service.

The future of Islam in America looks increasingly diverse, increasingly inclusive, and increasingly American as it embraces uniquely American values while bringing to the American culture its own deeply-rooted spiritual and theological riches.
