Cambridge Thanksgiving

The Juris Family and 4/5 of the AWOL Family shared a most joyous five days together at their temporary home in Cambridge, England over the Thanksgiving holiday. Here is a shot of us in front of Kings’ College on my birthday, a nippy-21-degree-Sunday-afternoon . The temperatures were low, but the conversation and camaraderie were the warmest imaginable.

JM, your hostessing abilities while on the road yourself will continue to teach me lessons for years to come, thank you for a great holiday.

Great photos! You guys look great. I edited your photo a bit to make it fit the screen better, I hope you don’t mind! It felt a bit like I was reading your mail 😉

I got nothing to hide, Girlie. Thanks for the edit, it looks much nicer.

AWOL, you win the international mom prize for hauling your children across Europe in terrible weather, sleeping in a tiny room together, being totally off your schedule, yet somehow making me feel like I was being hosted and entertained the entire time. What a fabulous and unforgettable long weekend! We miss you all.

what is the prize for this “international mom contest?” I hope it is like in _Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory_ and I win a lifetime supply of chocolate!

And a factory full of little orange men?

Sounds wonderful! Looking at this picture, I am trying to figure out how you were managing with 4 strollers and only 3 adults…

MA, my 19-year-old cousin was along for the trip, she is taking the picture. I think she was rather impressed with the break-neck pace at which JM can push a double stroller though! Ha.
