I hope you have had a wonderful and prayerful Lent, and that your Holy Week is likewise a time for reflection and contemplative waiting. Here’s looking forward to Easter — and the Easter season. May it be filled with joy, warmth, and plenty of “alleluias”!
One thing that won’t be part of this Easter season: new posts on my blog.
I’m taking the Easter season — basically, March 26 through May 15 — as a kind of mini-sabbatical. So I do not expect to publish any new content on either of my blogs (Silence Today, Love Forever or A Contemplative Faith) until after Pentecost.
I say “I do not expect to” because, of course, life is uncertain and if some current event or some moment of inspiration just overwhelms me with the need to post something, I will. But as of today, I’m not planning to post anything new until mid-May.
My reason for doing this is actually quite prosaic: I’ll be busy. This is going to be a busy few weeks, and I need to manage my calendar accordingly. I’ve got a number of retreats, classes, quiet days, and conferences happening pretty much one after the other. I’ll be traveling to Florida, North Carolina, and Missouri, along with a number of programs here in Georgia — if you want to come say hi to me in person, visit my Events page to see where I’ll be next (several events are private and at least one is sold out).
So my friends, please keep me (and my ministry) in your prayers. I’m sorry I won’t have anything new to share with you, but in the meantime, check out the links at the end of this post if you’d like to (re)visit some of my older posts.
Also, if you haven’t already done so, sign up for my email list and I’ll send you a message when I’m back to posting.
Finally, when I do return (again, probably the week of May 15), I’ll share the details of my next book, due in the fall of 2016. Here’s a hint: it’s a companion volume to The Big Book of Christian Mysticism.
