Georgia Author of the Year!

GAYA Winner SealThis past Saturday evening I received a lovely honor. The Georgia Writers’ Association selected me as a “Georgia Author of the Year” in the Inspirational/Religious category for Befriending Silence.

The Georgia Author of the Year Awards is the oldest literary awards ceremony in the southeastern United States, started by the Dixie Council of Authors and Journalists in 1964 and hosted by the GWA since 1994.

Befriending Silence was among 154 nominations in 14 categories that include both fiction and non-fiction genres.

Thanks goes out to my lovely wife Fran, my publisher Ave Maria Press, my agent, my editors, and most especially the monks of the Monastery of the Holy Spirit for their support in making this book happen.

Here are a few photos from the event. These photos are by Fox Gradin of Celestial Studios.

    Congratulations on your reward.

So enjoyed reading Befriending Silence. I have given the book as a gift several times. The words bring such peace as I travel through my journey of Contemplation.

    Thank You

Congratulations to you. I enjoy what I see here almost as much as I enjoyed your class.
