ELSEWHERE: Archbishop of Canterbury, Pope Meet for First Time June 14, 2013

Round about when the College of Cardinals was selecting an Argentinian priest as the next bishop of Rome, Justin Welby was installed as the  105th Archbishop of Canterbury. The former you know as Pope Francis. The latter is the leader of the worldwide communion of Anglicans (after, of course, Her Majesty). The two will meet for the first time in their new posts on Friday. Like Francis, Welby has called the nations to righteousness. May the unity and purity of the Lord’s church be advanced on that day!
