My Favourite MLK Quote

In celebration of the 50 years since Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King’s “I Have a Dream Speech,” I thought I’d post my favourite quote of his:

“The church was not merely a thermometer that recorded the ideas and principles of popular opinion; it was a thermostat that transformed the mores of society.”

- From “Letter from Birmingham Jail.”
