Alister McGrath’s next book in his Christian Belief for Everyone series is about Jesus.

McGrath exposits the person and work of Jesus through a wonderful mixture of biographical anecdotes, scriptural reflection, and quotations from church history. Expectantly there is a lot of C.S. Lewis quotations, many illustrations drawn from literature and science, as well as several stories about McGrath’s own life journey.

In a nutshell, McGrath briefly covers the story of Jesus, as well as the incarnation, the atonement, and the centrality of Jesus for faith.

As an exposition of the statement in Apostles’ Creed, “I believe in Jesus Christ,” McGrath has produced a great third volume for his series on the creed.

The next volume is on the Holy Spirit, human nature, and the church.
