Hitchhiker’s Historical Jesus Giveaway

As I mentioned a while back, I’ll be participating in a “blog tour” around the book A Hitchhiker’s Guide to Jesus. In connection with that, Baker Academic Press is holding a giveaway, and you can now visit their site and participate.

Appears to be for Facebook users only, alas.

You mean that isn’t everyone?! :-)

  • Just Sayin’

Nope, but publishers like Eerdmans seem to think so.

  • Just Sayin’

Sorry, my apologies to Eerdmans.  This is Baker Academic, of course.

How do giveaways hope to justify discriminating against people who don’t use Facebook, or don’t have Internet, or don’t have a phone number, or a postal address?

  • Just Sayin’

I’m wondering why someone would need to include their phone number in an online book giveaway?  Anyway, phones have been around since Graham Bell and just about every home has one or more.  Facebook has been around since yesterday!
