From ASBO Jesus. It should go without saying, but just in case, I’ll make it explicit. This is not a jibe at religion. There are religious believers, religious leaders, and religious community who welcome, encourage, and promote thinking. But there are also anti-intellectual and even anti-logical streaks in certain circles. Chances are, if you find this offensive, then you and/or your religious community may be part of the problem

    I would say this goes for ANY collection of people for whatever reason…including atheists.

    Certainly not EVERY atheist disbelieves in a god because of “critical” thinking.

    I’m all for crticial thinking – and yes I am a Christian.

    Heck I believe in being CHALLENGED on my beliefs, we all should be if our TRUE motives for our beliefs is ultimately – the TRUTH.

    My experience has taught me that when I read stuff by Brits and I think I see a typo, it is usually just my uncultured, colonist ignorance of real English. :-)

      You may be right, but having lived in England, it doesn’t jump out at me as British English. But I may just be an uncultured resident of a former colony who didn’t learn enough during his stay in England! :-)
