So Inoffensive It’s Offensive?

Hemant Mehta shared the image above of a satirically minimalist and generic holiday display, found (perhaps ironically) on a shoe store which traces its origins to the Book of Genesis.

The window display’s attempt to be as generic for the “holidays” as possible reminded me of this cartoon:

    I always just say “Happy Holidays” unless I know what the person celebrates. Since, the reality is that all days around winter are generally Holi (holy – set apart) days.
