My friend Eldad Keynan shared the above video on YouTube. Eldad is fascinated with a subject that is far too neglected, namely the evidence of Christianity in ancient Galilee. We know from both Jewish and Christian texts that Jewish Christianity had a significant presence in the region in the first few centuries after the time of Jesus. But eventually we lose that strand in the mists of time, as Christianity becomes predominantly Gentile.
He has looked for archaeological evidence for Jewish Christianity in the region, particularly in the evidence provided by tombs. As I mentioned previously, he now has a website called “Tomb Stories.” If any of you travel to Israel, you might be interested in getting Eldad to take you on a tour of some of these fascinating places, which have not received the attention that they deserve.
