Shaquille O’Neal Drops Some Hebrew on The Daily Show

The other night, Jon Stewart interviewed basketball great Shaquille O’Neal on The Daily Show. Near the end of the interview, Jon mentioned that his son loves Shaq and wants to be a pro basketball player, and Jon wanted to know how he was going to break it to his son that Jews aren’t known for their basketball skills. Shaq replied, “Tell him Uncle Shaq said baruch hashem.” That expression means anything from “Good luck!” to “Thank G-d,” but its usage here is perfect.
