The Ark of the Covenant … in Cake Form!

Charm City Cakes (of Ace of Cakes fame) made this awesome groom’s cake in the form of the Ark of the Covenant. No word about whether the groom was a Biblical scholar or just a really big Raiders of the Lost Ark fan (although based on the snakes, I’m guessing Raiders).

Unfortunately, the groom made the mistake of gazing too deeply inside:

    Wait, wait, wait. Is that a snake, a cobra in front? At first I thought it was a puppy dog. Doesn’t that look like a scared puppy face? So I said, “What? Was the President coming to this wedding and expecting hors d’oeuvres?” (Sorry, truly.)

      I also thought it was a puppy, but from another angle it’s a snake.
