Saturday Song — “I Am Made of You”

We haven’t done any Alice Cooper in a little while, so here’s something from his most recent album, Welcome 2 My Nightmare, produced by Bob Ezrin, the man behind his best early work. (People who remember the original Welcome to My Nightmare will recognize the piano part from Steven.) If there’s any doubt that the “you” in question is God, I’d say the mentions of revelation, salvation, and believing–and the repetition of the phrase “In the beginning”–should put that to rest. It’s also a rare instance where Auto-Tune doesn’t make me want to punch something. (Well, this and “Gay Fish”.)

That was really good. Haven’t listened to much Alice Cooper, guess it’s time for a second look.
