Eagle Gets Printed Beak

One for the “just plain cool” files, from Grist via io9. Beauty the bald eagle was shot in the face, which left her looking like she was wearing a duck mask, and also unable to eat on her own. She now has a brand-new 3D-printed nylon polymer beak that will allow her to clean and feed herself. She still cannot be released into the wild, but at least she can care for herself a little better.
