Electronic Resources for Lent

I’m rediscovering today just how incredible a single piece of wheat toast can taste when you’re fasting. This effect is not incidental to the practice.

In the meantime, I just want to point you to a few electronic resources for making your Lent more holy:

About Thomas L. McDonald

Thomas L. McDonald writes about technology, theology, history, games, and shiny things. Details of his rather uneventful life as a professional writer and magazine editor can be found in the About tab.

You should get an Android device. Pick up an inexpensive Asus MeMo tablet and play around with it. Or use it instead of the iPad and consider it part of your Lenten fast. If I didn’t do music production on my iPad, I’d definitely be an Android man on cost and performance alone (Android’s audio drivers are unusable for music production due to their latency, however).

Android isn’t an OS: it’s a byproduct of poor consumer decision-making. [mic drop]

Ha. But from a purely gaming standpoint $130 won’t buy you a more powerful games machine anywhere else.
