If you have built castles in the air, your work need not be lost… put the foundations under them

If you have built castles in the air, your work need not be lost; that is where they should be.  Now put the foundations under them.

~Henry David Thoreau, Walden

Consider the fact that every nighttime dream requires action in the waking world. Your action might simply be to share your dream with your loved ones about investing in a new technology that has just gone public. Your dream might be prompting you to call a friend to talk them out of boarding an airplane. Or the activation could be simply to give the “DDR”—the Daily Dream Report to someone with whom you enjoy sharing your dreams. You never know when the sharing of a dream will activate a difference in your life and the life of the person you shared it with. What may seem insignificant to you might completely change the life of the person on the receiving end of the DDR.

Inspired action that leads to magic and grace-filled manifesting naturally occurs when your dreams are active and alive in your waking life. In other words, begin to see your dreams through the perspective that they are “talking to you” about changes to make or actions to take in your waking life.

When you take action in your waking life that honors your night dream, you increase the volume of your intuition and amplify your ability to follow your dream clues toward greater confidence, intuition, and success in your waking life.

To understand what your dreams are trying to help you with, and thus the corresponding action to take, ask yourself the following questions:

  • Could this dream be warning me about something or someone in my life today?
  • Is there something I need to prepare for (an event, presentation, conversation, confrontation)?
  • What action should I take to put my best foot forward in my life (write note cards prior to a speech, research information about the company I am planning to do business with, have a conversation with my spouse)?
  • Is there something I forgot to do, say, or create that I can tend to retroactively (i.e. make an amends, send a follow up e-mail, double check the bank statement)?

In the meantime, while you await your life altering, multi-million dollar, multi-platinum dream, consider that the way you honor your dreams on ordinary days will help you build the habits and the psychological/spiritual musculature to behold and activate your extraordinary dreams.

What action will you take today to honor last night’s dream?
