Hello, I’m Eman Hashim. An Egyptian ophthalmologist, a writer and a blogger. Born and living in Cairo, Egypt, I grew up watching how women are being treated, what is expected from them and how women deal with all this. I intend to share my observations, impressions and interpretations with you. It’s not an opinion; it’s how I perceive things. I kind of hope you do the same with me. Let’s all think loudly together. This can be really inspiring.
My major interest is media, not that I will only talk about it. But I do believe media has a major role on the social structure of a community. The morals, the ideas and sometimes even the comprehension of religion are so much affected, if not shaped by what we grasp from media. At least till a certain age when someone can start questioning what he receives. So let’s all start questioning now together!

Good job and perfect start God with you
Congratulations:) I am looking forward to following your posts:)
Thanks Eman
I will be interested to read your blogs. I sincerely hope they are and
can be open and revealing. As an American woman who has always known complete freedom it is excruciatingly painful for me to read of women being violated by opression from any institution in her society, especially from fathers, brothers husbands. I would like to understand why an how this prevails in any society but suffice to say specially the Muslim Woman.
Marwa, thanks a lot for your support
I can imagine where your words are coming from, Bernadine!
And I’m waiting for our discussion
