Defending Glenn Beck on the Dead Sea Scrolls

Many bloggers (including some with expertise precisely in the area where Beck seems to lack it) have pointed out how much Glenn Beck got wrong in his statement about Constantine and the Dead Sea Scrolls.

I actually just finished reading a book titled, "The Eighth Scroll" by Laurence B. Brown that centers around the Dead Sea Scroll. The content is reality-based, the settings real-world. Discussion of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, Jewish/Christian/Islamic religious differences, the uncertain theological foundations of Christianity, are all stone-cold factual. Pretty interesting stuff!

I have not read the book, but it sounds interesting. Of course, after that other author with the last name Brown who claimed to be giving largely factual information about history, I'm wary of books that make similar claims… :)

I found the book to be extremely entertaining and interesting… however I went into the book understanding that it was a fictional book with some truths…just really loved the plot- exciting. If anything it has really sparked my interest go to out and find the truths.
