Religion and Doctor Who Day Poster

Above is the poster for the Religion and Doctor Who day conference being held at the University of Manchester’s John Rylands Library on November 2nd. Caroline Symcox is the keynote speaker.

Perhaps we should try to also have that day be a day for a Doctor Who and Religion synchroblog? For those who, like myself, blog about the intersection of the two regularly, that might seem like nothing special. But perhaps a day that provides an “excuse” for those who are interested in the subject, but don’t normally blog about it, would be useful? What do readers of this blog think? (If you’ve read this post to the end, I think it is safe to assume that the intersection of religion and Doctor Who interests you!)

I live in Canada, studying religions, and I’m just heartbroken that there will be not streaming of this.

And I’d follow a blog about that particular matter!

I think that would be awesome, but I’m not a writer, just a reader.

That is a great idea. I do not know how much I can contribute to the religion part, but I find the problem of regeneration (what makes you, well, YOU) incredibly interesting from a biological point of view. Baldscientist’s blog at your service…

I regularly blog about pop culture and theology/philosophy, but haven’t tried my hand at Dr. Who. Also, I’ve recently gotten into the Tenth Doctor years (my first exposure. So I’d be in.
