The Christmas Season

I got a kick out of this meme, which came my way via Episcopal Church Memes on Facebook. Many people think that the Christmas season ends rather than begins on December 25th. The irony is that we could have both – a vibrant Advent shopping season followed by the Twelve Days of Christmas, during which we could listen to all the wonderful Christmas music there is.

Christmas is officially over when you throw your radio out the window because the nonstop holiday music is driving you insane.

  • My goal is to celebrate Christmas everyday of the year and Resurrection Sunday too for that matter. God is good!

If you had been born in Saudi Arabia, you would probably be expressing those sentiments about Muhammad.

      • Muhammad and Jesus are not even in the same ballpark. There is a Christian presence in the Middle East to include Saudi Arabia and it is growing.

According to official statistics, 85–95% of Saudi Arabian citizens are Sunni Muslims, 10–15% are Shia. The percentages suggest that if you had been born in Saudi Arabia, you would be Muslim, not Christian. It is not a controversial claim by me to say that geography plays a large part in one’s religious denomination.

Further proof that religion is ridiculous; the rules of math don’t change with location-why do those of religion?

Rats! I missed a great discussion!
