The Christmas Season

I got a kick out of this meme, which came my way via Episcopal Church Memes on Facebook. Many people think that the Christmas season ends rather than begins on December 25th. If you had been born in Saudi Arabia, you would probably be expressing those sentiments about Muhammad.

      • Muhammad and Jesus are not even in the same ballpark. There is a Christian presence in the Middle East to include Saudi Arabia and it is growing.

According to official statistics, 85–95% of Saudi Arabian citizens are Sunni Muslims, 10–15% are Shia. The percentages suggest that if you had been born in Saudi Arabia, you would be Muslim, not Christian. It is not a controversial claim by me to say that geography plays a large part in one’s religious denomination.
