As 2014 draws to a close, Vox Nova wants to share with our readers the digest of statistics prepared by WordPress at this time of the year. As many of you have noticed, both the number of posts and the number of viewers has declined from years past, but things have stabilized and, we hope, are improving.
Our thanks go out to all of you, our readers, who make this blog possible and whose feedback and lively commentary makes posting here rewarding and stimulating—though also at times annoying, frustrating and patience trying. We especially want to acknowledge our top commentators for 2014: Mark VA, Agellius, emmasrandomthoughts, dismasdolben and LM.
Here’s an excerpt:
The Louvre Museum has 8.5 million visitors per year. This blog was viewed about 240,000 times in 2014. If it were an exhibit at the Louvre Museum, it would take about 10 days for that many people to see it.
