The Uranus/Pluto square in the news

The square between Uranus in Aries to Pluto in Capricorn represents the departure from the status quo (Uranus) in favor of the individual (Aries) and the destruction (Pluto) of established power structures (Capricorn).  Here are a few examples:

• Rupert Murdoch begins to split apart (Uranus) his mighty empire (Pluto in Capricorn). 
• Syria’s civil war spills over into Turkey.
• Murders are up 38% in Chicago
• Protests (Uranus) against Putin (Pluto) are the “new norm”
• The US government launches the Flame virus towards Iran in a bout of cyber (Uranus) warfare (Pluto). 
• A fireworks (Uranus in Aries) tent blows up (Pluto) in West Virginia
• A protest (Uranus) of profanity (Aries) contests an anti-swearing law (Pluto in Capricorn) in Massachusetts.
• And most shocking of all, Elmo delivers bizarre rants at kids in this horrific video.
