CNN Reports, “Social Media Will, In Fact, Save the Church”

CNN Reports, “Social Media Will, In Fact, Save the Church” June 28, 2012

Sorry, I couldn’t resist the CNN dig.*

I’m just bitter 😉

You see, today, my new book, The Definitive-ish Guide for Using Social Media in the Church, (Shook Foil Books) dropped on Amazon and iTunes and wouldn’t you know it, there was some decision made by some branch of the government that totally stole my thunder.

In any case, you can now buy my first book on AMAZON for your Kindle, on Barnes and Noble for your nook or pre-order on iTunes. Also, as soon as I get the codes, I will be giving a away a few free copies, so sign up for my enewsletter if you want to get the 411.

Also, if you are in Pittsburgh the first week of July for #ga220 or other such shenanigans, you are invited to the party!

Peace all.

Congrats on your book, Bruce. And I feel your pain. My first Doubleday book (Deliberate Acts of Kindness: Service as a Spiritual Practice) dropped right after 9/11 and although the topic was in sync, folks were *not* thinking about buying books, but no way I could use that as a dig!

Fortunately, you’re writing about digital at a time when the news cycle is down to nanoseconds thanks to digital. Plus, the years you’ve spent building “platform” will serve you well. Your new book is a welcomed addition to the growing set of resources for those who realize that social media is a valuable way to build community and celebrate faith.

I’ll forward to checking your book out, Bruce.

The Supreme Court has a way of stealing everyone’s thunder, by the way.
