It has been one of those days.
Our little one was dragged under water at the pool this morning (even with coast guard approved flotation device) prompting me to dive in and fish him out. Much choking and sputtering later he was ok.
Later, our big boy choked on a lollipop (one of the only kinds he can have) when it came off the stick. Determining that it was faster to drive to the ER than call an ambulance (we were in the car) we arrived and he very spectacularly vomited the lodged candy in the parking lot of the ER.
I’m still shaken by the events of the morning. Especially because I realized that I don’t remember anything about our baby CPR class we took when I was pregnant with our first. Do you ladies know CPR? Are these even appropriate situations for CPR? Do you take refresher courses? I feel badly that is has taken a day like this to get me in gear to find a class somewhere soon!
Also, our stressful drive to the ER made me think of Red and Mr. Red who have made that drive so many times in the last month. Please keep praying for them and Gus!
