Despite the heat this summer, we’ve had a couple of fresh, cleansing rainstorms, one of which hit when I was in the midst of some spiritual cleaning. Because of that, I took the ashes from a de-cluttering burn out into the rain, and while I let the weather help me let go, a simple chant kept repeating itself in my mind.
By the earth, by the flame,
by the wind, by the rain.
