Reviewing The Witches’ Almanac

Reviewing The Witches’ Almanac

Recently, I had the chance to read the newest Witches’ Almanac, the 2016-2017 issue centered on Air. In addition to the standard things I would expect from an almanac, including a comprehensive astrological run-down and some seasonal weather lore, this little volume is also packed with interesting articles, rituals, and crafts. I particularly enjoyed the short article “Sacred Syncronicities and Carrying On” by Esther Elaine, which included a brief exploration of the history of the recently revived “Keep Calm” slogan. The book also includes a recipe for a turmeric smoothie, which I am dying to try. I’m glad I had the chance to pick this volume up, and I plan to keep it for reference in the coming year and beyond.
