Christianity is the Most Persecuted Religion on Earth

When The Huffington Post reports that Christianity is the most persecuted religion on Earth, it must be true. Though this article mostly deals with the horrific oppression of Christians throughout most of the Middle East, the persecution does not end there. In almost any African country where Islam is the majority population, Christians suffer persecution and discrimination. Even though the population of India is mostly Hindu, Christians still face oppression and persecution there as well.

Yes, the United States has had a bit of trouble with “Christians” harassing and oppressing Muslims here, and the author acknowledges that, but the scale and brutality of persecution of Christians is on an entirely different scale:

Christianity is facing elimination in its Biblical homeland. Between a half and two-thirds of Christians in the Middle East have departed or been killed over the past century. Short attributes the intolerance and violence towards Christians to the rising Islamicization of Middle Eastern countries. Some of the oppression is government sanctioned and some government permitted; most is government ignored.
